STAFF PROFILE

The department is headed by Prof.P.M.Khairunnisa.She joined the college in 1993 and took over the charge of HOD in 2010.She is the coordinator of Forestry club, anti harassment cell , grievance redressal cell etc.Currently she is working on "The biodiversity and habitat preference of fresh water food fishes of Malappuram district ", a minor project sanctioned by UGC.

Prof.M.Zeenath, a well known environmental activist , a member of SEEK , district coordinator of ECO Clubs (Malappuram) is an asset to the department .She joined the department in 1994. She is the coordinator of Oriole nature club . Currently she is doing her research in "The biodiversity of fishes in Thoothapuzha".

Prof.Krishnaprabha.K.S. joined the department on 2011. She is the coordinator of Citizen science forum .

Lab Attenders

Mr.K.P.Hyder is serving as the attender of the zoology lab . He joined in the college in 1981 and has also worked in many other sister concerns of MES Colleges. .

Mr. C.H.Usman is the specimen collector of the zoology lab. He joined in the college in 1981.He is an inevitable member of the department and is the senior most member of the department.
